General

Summary:


Responsible for mechanical maintenance of Rolling Mill equipment to minimize downtime, optimize production and ensure safe, reliable, and cost‑effective operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform preventive, corrective and breakdown maintenance of Rolling Mill equipment.
• Troubleshoot mechanical issues and provide solutions to minimize downtime.
• Inspect equipment to ensure compliance with engineering standards and safety regulations.
• Support superiors in heavy section mill maintenance activities and coordinate with other departments.
• Lead and guide a team of Technicians/Fitters during maintenance work.
• Ensure adherence to safety, quality and environmental policies.

Requirements:

• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• 7‑8 years experience in steel plant mechanical maintenance with at least 5 years in Rolling Mill.
• Strong knowledge of predictive & preventive maintenance, troubleshooting hydraulic circuits and engineering drawings.
• Skilled in use of hand tools, measuring instruments, rigging and slinging.
• Good communication skills (English required; Arabic preferred).
• Computer literacy and report writing ability.
