As a Ladle Operator, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining the ladle furnace equipment used in the steelmaking process. You will work closely with the production team to ensure the efficient and safe operation of the ladle furnace, while maintaining high-quality standards.

• Operate and control the ladle furnace equipment, including charging, heating, and tapping processes
• Monitor and adjust furnace parameters to maintain the desired temperature and chemical composition of the molten steel
• Inspect and maintain the ladle furnace, including cleaning, repairing, and replacing components as needed
• Work closely with the production team to ensure the timely and efficient transfer of molten steel from the ladle furnace to the next stage of the steelmaking process
• Follow all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and your colleagues
• Keep accurate records of production data, including temperature, chemical composition, and maintenance activities
• Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that may arise during the ladle furnace operation
• Continuously monitor and report any abnormalities or malfunctions in the equipment to the supervisor
• Participate in training and development programs to enhance your skills and knowledge of the ladle furnace operation and steelmaking process

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of 2 years of experience operating a ladle furnace in a steel company
• Knowledge of steelmaking processes and equipment
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Willingness to work in shifts and overtime as needed
• Must be physically fit and able to lift up to 50 pounds
