Operating Machinery and Equipment

Operate assigned machinery and equipment safely and efficiently following Ducab Standard Operating Procedures, process standards, and instructions with lean principles.

• Implement all relevant HSE policies, procedures, guidelines.
• Participate in emergency response duties as part of the team.

• Provide input for preparation of method statements.
• Initiate near‑miss reports.
• Prepare quality checklists for management to support quality programs.

Implement 5S principles to keep the work environment clean and tidy before, during, and after job execution.

Participate in lean manufacturing initiatives for innovation and continuous improvement.

• Set up and run the machine efficiently to specified specifications.
• Monitor machine condition and performance; report deviations to the supervisor.

• Perform quality checks on the product to ensure conformance.
• Raise notifications in SAP and report deviations to the supervisor for corrective action.
• Carry out routine checks on machine parameters per the Ducab checklist.

• Undertake autonomous maintenance as scheduled by SAP.
• Maintain production record in the log book and quality records in SAP to enable traceability.

Train new operators and assistants on machine usage.

• Relevant technical trade certificate (2-3 year degree).
• 4 or more years of relevant experience in machinery and across multiple equipment within a large industrial plant, preferably in the cable & aluminum industry.
