Machine Setup

Set up grinding machines by selecting appropriate tools, adjusting machine settings, and securing work pieces in place.

Operate grinding machines to perform various tasks such as grinding, smoothing, shaping, or finishing work pieces.

Monitor the grinding process to ensure that work pieces meet specifications and quality standards. Make adjustments as necessary.

Change grinding wheels or other tooling as needed to maintain machine efficiency and product quality.

Use precision measuring tools such as micrometers and calipers to check the dimensions of work pieces and make necessary adjustments.

Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and following safety procedures.

Perform routine maintenance on grinding machines, including cleaning, lubricating, and replacing worn or damaged parts.

Keep detailed records of work performed, including production quantities, machine settings, and any issues encountered.

Identify and resolve machine or product quality issues that may arise during the grinding process.

Collaborate with other team members such as engineers and quality control personnel to ensure the smooth flow of production and achieve quality standards.

High school/ITI.

Experience:

3-5 Years (same field). Knowledge &

Skills:

High school diploma or equivalent (some positions may require technical training or certifications). Experience in machine operation, particularly with molding machines, is often preferred. Mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills. Ability to follow safety procedures and guidelines. Attention to detail and quality-conscious. Physical stamina, as the role may involve standing for extended periods and lifting/moving heavy materials. Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team.
