Position: Welder / Welder CS

Responsibilities

  • Precisely interpret blueprints and technical drawings to plan and execute welding projects according to specifications.
  • Skillfully join metal parts using various welding techniques such as TIG, MIG, Stick, and Flux‑cored arc welding.
  • Conduct thorough inspections of welds to ensure structural integrity, detect defects, and verify compliance with quality standards.
  • Prepare metal surfaces by cleaning, grinding, and cutting to create optimal conditions for strong and clean welds.
  • Operate and maintain welding equipment, including power sources, welding guns, and safety gear, ensuring peak performance.
  • Troubleshoot and repair faulty welds or damaged metal components, demonstrating problem‑solving prowess.
  • Adhere strictly to safety protocols and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) to prevent accidents and injuries.
  • Collaborate effectively with team members, supervisors, and other trades to ensure project timelines and objectives are met.
  • Perform routine maintenance on welding machinery and tools, extending their lifespan and ensuring operational readiness.
  • Document welding activities, material usage, and inspection results accurately for quality control and record‑keeping purposes.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent is preferred for foundational understanding.
  • Possession of relevant welding certifications (e.g., AWSD1,D2) demonstrates proven competency.
  • Minimum of 3–5 years of hands‑on welding experience in a relevant industry (fabrication, construction, manufacturing).
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting complex engineering drawings and welding symbols.
  • Strong technical skills in multiple welding processes (TIG, MIG, Stick) and metal types.
  • Excellent manual dexterity, hand‑eye coordination, and attention to detail for precise work.
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team in demanding environments.
  • Good physical stamina to stand, stoop, and lift for extended periods, often in challenging conditions.
  • Basic understanding of metallurgy and material properties is advantageous.
  • Proficiency in English for clear communication of instructions and safety information.
