Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor the CCM mold area to ensure safe and uninterrupted billet casting operations.
- Monitor mold level, cooling water flow, lubrication, and casting parameters to maintain product quality.
- Identify and report mold abnormalities, casting defects, and breakout risks, taking corrective actions as required.
- Assist in mold changing, setup, inspection, and routine maintenance activities to ensure equipment reliability.
- Maintain compliance with safety, quality, and housekeeping standards while achieving production targets.
- 12th or ITI/Diploma in Mechanical, Metallurgical, or related discipline.
- 4–10 years of experience in Continuous Casting Machine (CCM) operations in a steel plant.
- Knowledge of mold operation, cooling systems, mold powder application, and breakout prevention.
- Ability to work in rotating shifts and high-temperature industrial environments.
- Strong focus on safety, quality, and operational discipline.
