Fitter, Maintenance Technician ​/ Mechanic

Responsibilities

Precisely assemble, install and maintain mechanical components and systems according to engineering drawings and specifications ensuring optimal functionality. Utilize precision measuring instruments such as micrometers and calipers to verify dimensions and tolerances guaranteeing accurate fitting and alignment. Perform complex fitting operations including pipe fitting, welding preparation and the use of hand and power tools to achieve desired results. Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical faults, identifying root causes and implementing effective repair solutions to minimize downtime.

Possess a high school diploma or equivalent, with a strong foundation in mathematics and mechanical principles. Hold a relevant trade qualification or apprenticeship in fitting or a related field, demonstrating practical skills. Acquire certifications in relevant areas such as welding or specific equipment operation, showcasing expertise. Have at least 3-5 years of experience working in a fitting role within the manufacturing or engineering industry.
