Policies, Processes & Procedures

• Follows all relevant policies, processes, procedures and controls within the respective Operations Centre to fulfill procedural legislative requirements while ensuring high-quality, safe, cost‑effective, consistent work.

• Carries out day‑to‑day operations within the respective Operations Centre to ensure work processes are implemented as directed by the Day Crew Supervisor while complying with established policies, processes and procedures.
• Receives daily direction from the Day Crew Supervisor on activities to be performed and ensures work is completed in a timely and safe manner and in line with required quality standards.
• Ensures timely escalation of any issues or problems to the Day Crew Supervisor to support timely corrective action.

• Makes a daily log of all activities conducted and ensures activities are completed as per the daily checklist.
• Handles and transfers material, tools and equipment to the required location ensuring compliance with safety, environmental and quality standards.
• Carries out various routine procedures independently, cooperates with the Production and Maintenance teams and appropriately escalates problems in a timely manner.
• Participates in team pre‑start meetings to understand planned shift activities and ensures that issues requiring attention are appropriately handed over prior to the end of the shift.
• Reports all accidents, incidents and near‑misses to the Day Crew Supervisor and assists in incident investigation to avoid re‑occurrence.
• Complies with housekeeping standards and procedures to ensure the Operations Centre is clean and hygienic.

• Complies with all relevant safety, quality and environmental management policies, procedures and controls to ensure employee safety, legislative compliance and a responsible environmental attitude.

• Performs other related duties or assignments as directed.

• High School Diploma (completion of technical secondary school) with a relevant trade certification.

• 1 to 2 years of experience in a production plant, preferably alumina, gas, oil or petrochemical plants.
• Preferably, having a certification or training that provides the required basic knowledge of alumina refinery fundamentals.

• Physical fitness and ability to work within plant work.
• Basic knowledge of industrial processes / industrial background.
• Knowledge of continuous process operations.
• Ability to complete routing operations support tasks within the assigned Operations centre with minimal supervision.
• Understanding of safety, quality and environmental management and control procedures.
• Good communication skills.
• Risk awareness.
• Work under pressure with discretion, reliability and accuracy.
