Job Description Summary
One-year TareeGE Trainee Operations Program is an onsite-based role that focuses on operational aspects in a manufacturing facility with the possibility of extension up to two years. The Operations trainee will support and progressively take ownership of inspection and repair operations within the Gas Turbine (GT) cell at the Jebel Ali Service Centre (JASC).
The role is designed to provide hands-on exposure to shop operations while developing strong foundations in safety, quality, delivery, cost, and culture (SQDCC). The trainee will work closely with experienced team members to ensure safe, efficient, and compliant execution of processes, while actively learning and applying Lean principles and continuous improvement practices. This program emphasizes skill development, mentorship, and gradual responsibility in a dynamic manufacturing and repair environment.
Job Description WHAT YOU’LL DO- Participate in and support Kaizen events within the GT cell, contributing ideas and actions to drive continuous improvement.
- Assist in the implementation and sustainment of lean lines, applying Lean tools such as 5S, Value Stream Mapping (VSM), Standard Work, and Daily Management Systems (DMS) under guidance.
- Support daily operations to help achieve operational excellence across SQDCC (Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost & Culture).
- Work collaboratively with Operations, Quality, Engineering, and Materials teams to help identify, analyze, and address bottlenecks in job execution and material flow.
- Receive ongoing mentorship from experienced team members and actively engage in learning opportunities to build technical and operational capability.
- Participate in structured problem‑solving activities using daily management systems, contributing to waste reduction and process stabilization efforts.
- Support the development, documentation, and sustainment of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for operational processes.
- Promote and support a safe working environment, consistently prioritizing personal and team safety.
- Assist in the evaluation and implementation of new technologies, tools, or methodologies that enhance operational efficiency and accuracy.
- Actively participate in EHS Framework Elements and safety improvement projects within the service centre.
- Support compliance with quality work instructions and ensure alignment with repair engineering instructions.
- Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, or another relevant technical discipline).
- Foundational understanding of inspection and repair processes, Non‑Destructive Testing (NDT), and quality systems gained through academic coursework, projects, or internships.
- Academic, project‑based, or internship exposure to Lean tools and methodologies such as Kaizen, Standard Work, VSM, 5S, and Daily Management Systems.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to apply structured thinking to practical challenges.
- Willingness to learn, adapt, and grow in a hands‑on operational environment.
- In line with the localization requirements of UAE, preference will be given to qualified UAE National talents.
