Spray Painter

Job Description

The Spray Painter is responsible for preparing surfaces and applying paint or protective coatings using spray equipment to achieve a high-quality finish. The role requires attention to detail, knowledge of painting techniques, and compliance with safety and quality standards.

• Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, masking, and priming before painting.
• Mix paints, coatings, and thinners according to specifications.
• Operate and maintain spray painting equipment and tools.
• Apply paint, primer, or protective coatings evenly using spray guns.
• Inspect painted surfaces for quality, consistency, and defects; perform touch-ups as required.
• Clean and maintain spray guns, paint booths, and other equipment after use.
• Follow safety procedures and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Ensure proper handling and storage of paints, chemicals, and materials.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Report equipment malfunctions or quality issues to the supervisor.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Minimum of 1–2 years of experience as a Spray Painter in automotive, industrial, furniture, or construction environments.
• Knowledge of surface preparation, paint mixing, and spray painting techniques.
• Ability to use spray guns, compressors, and related equipment.
• Good attention to detail and color matching skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Physically fit and able to stand for extended periods and lift materials when required.
