Assistant Fabricator

We are looking for Assistant Fabricator, capable to do all general grinding works (heavy thick plate edge grinding, heavy wall piping grinding, Nozzles cut out grinding etc.). Candidates shall also be able to do chip back grinding, gouging, gas cutting and pug cutting for plates and pipes. Must be multi skilled to operate other shop machineries.

Skills & Expertise

Required:

• Assist in fabrication of heavy pressure vessels, columns, reactors, heat exchangers, and related equipment.
• Should be able to perform nozzle cut-outs accurately as per drawings and fabrication requirements.
• Capable of carrying out chip-back grinding to prepare weld edges and ensure proper joint quality.
• Able to support fit-up activities for long seams, circumferential seams, and nozzle installations.
• Basic understanding of fabrication drawings, WPS requirements, and material markings.
• Skilled in using cutting tools, grinders, bevelling machines, and basic fabrication equipment.
• Able to measure and calculate internal/external dimensions for fabrication accuracy.
• Should assist welders during fit-up, alignment, and material handling.
• Good understanding of safety procedures in heavy fabrication environments.
• Physically fit, with the ability to work in confined spaces, elevated areas, and around heavy equipment.
• Experience in heavy industry or pressure vessel fabrication is preferred.

Qualification:

• High School/Diploma/ITI
• 3 years of related experience
