Job DescriptionBG Global is hiring for the starch manufacturing industry and is looking for an experienced Instrumentation Technician to maintain, calibrate, and troubleshoot plant instrumentation, ensuring reliable and safe process operations.
Responsibilities- Perform calibration, functional testing, and servicing of control valves and ON/OFF automatic valves.
- Install, maintain, and troubleshoot field instruments, including flow, pressure, and level transmitters.
- Carry out loop checking (hot & cold), cable schedule preparation, and instrument commissioning activities.
- Read and interpret P&IDs and understand process control logic.
- Diagnose and rectify instrumentation faults to minimize plant downtime.
- Maintain UPS systems and support reliable operation of instrumentation equipment.
- Record maintenance activities and calibration reports while adhering to HSE and quality standards.
- Diploma or ITI in Instrumentation, Electronics, Electrical, or a related discipline.
- 3–5 years of instrumentation maintenance experience, preferably in the starch manufacturing industry.
- Hands‑on experience with Yokogawa, VEGA, Endress+Hauser (E+H) instruments and Emerson, Forbes Marshall, and Festo valves.
- Experience with calibration, loop checking, cable scheduling, and commissioning.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and technical documentation.
- Ability to read P&IDs and troubleshoot process instrumentation effectively.
- Willingness to work in rotational shifts.
