Our client in the paper manufacturing industry is seeking a skilled Mechanical Technician to perform preventive and corrective maintenance on paper production machinery and equipment. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, troubleshooting, and overhauling mechanical equipment to ensure maximum plant reliability and uninterrupted production.

The ideal candidate will have hands‑on mechanical maintenance experience within the paper manufacturing industry, with strong knowledge of paper machine components, pumps, gearboxes, bearings, pulpers, conveyors, and other production equipment.

• Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective mechanical maintenance on paper manufacturing equipment.
• Inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and overhaul paper machine components to ensure efficient plant operation.
• Identify and understand the complete paper machine sections, components, and their functions.
• Carry out paper machine roll servicing, repair work, gearbox servicing, and roll bearing replacement.
• Perform repairs and overhauling of all types of pumps, including bearing unit replacement, mechanical seal replacement, and pump overhauling.
• Maintain and repair pulpers, agitators, blowers, safety valves, process valves, and associated equipment.
• Perform repair and maintenance of winders and conveyor systems.
• Operate lifting equipment safely to support maintenance and repair activities.
• Diagnose mechanical faults and carry out timely corrective actions to minimize equipment downtime.
• Ensure all maintenance activities are completed in accordance with safety procedures and company standards.
• Maintain maintenance records and report equipment issues to the maintenance team.

• Minimum 3 years of hands‑on mechanical maintenance experience within the paper manufacturing industry.
• Strong knowledge of machinery used in paper production.
• Ability to understand and identify complete paper machine sections, components, and their functions.
• Expertise in paper machine roll servicing and repair.
• Experience servicing gearboxes, replacing roll bearings, and performing mechanical overhauls.
• Hands‑on experience repairing all types of pumps, including bearing unit replacement, mechanical seal replacement, and pump overhauling.
• Experience repairing pulpers, agitators, blowers, safety valves, process valves, and related equipment.
• Experience maintaining winders and conveyor systems.
• Ability to safely operate lifting equipment during maintenance activities.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced industrial environment.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
