Job Summary
The Masonry Forklift/Catcher Operator is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of forklifts and catcher equipment to support block production, material handling, stockyard operations, and product dispatch. The role ensures accurate loading, timely movement of block pallets, equipment upkeep, product quality compliance, and adherence to workplace health, safety, and environmental standards.
Roles & Responsibilities- Operate the Forklift/Catcher to transport block pallets from the production area to the stockyard and support loading activities.
- Load and arrange finished products accurately on delivery vehicles as per dispatch requirements.
- Verify product quantities against delivery tickets and identify or correct loading discrepancies.
- Inspect outgoing products and report damaged or non-conforming materials to the Supervisor.
- Monitor production activities and remove defective products when required to maintain quality standards.
- Conduct routine equipment checks, including cleaning, fueling, lubrication, and basic maintenance.
- Report equipment malfunctions, mechanical issues, or breakdowns promptly for repair and maintenance.
- Maintain clear communication with production, delivery, workshop, and supervisory teams.
- Keep work areas clean, organized, and free from waste, debris, and safety hazards.
- Use appropriate PPE and follow all company safety procedures, operational policies, and environmental regulations.
- Support other production or operational activities based on training and operational requirements.
- High School qualification or equivalent.
- Minimum 2 years of experience operating forklifts or similar material-handling equipment.
- Valid UAE Forklift Operator License.
- Experience operating heavy industrial forklifts.
- Ability to work safely in a manufacturing, production, or industrial environment.
- Ability to perform basic calculations and accurately verify quantities.
- Ability to work in high-temperature and physically demanding environments.
- Previous experience in concrete block or masonry manufacturing is preferred.
