Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Technician to join our maintenance team. This role involves overseeing the maintenance and operation of machinery within our PET packaging, molding, and thermoforming plant. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with the specific machines and processes used in these areas, ensuring optimal performance and minimal downtime.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on PET packaging machines, injection molding machines, thermoforming equipment, and auxiliary systems.
- Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical issues promptly.
- Conduct routine inspections to ensure equipment operates efficiently and safely.
- Assist in machine setups, mold changes, and production line adjustments.
- Collaborate with production teams to minimize downtime and maintain production schedules.
- Maintain accurate maintenance logs and records.
- Adhere to safety protocols and company policies.
Qualifications
- Diploma, B-Tech in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum of 3–5 years of hands-on experience in mechanical maintenance within the PET packaging, molding, or thermoforming industry.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting and repairing mechanical systems, including hydraulics and pneumatics.
- Experience with PET blow molding, injection molding, and thermoforming machines.
- Familiarity with preventive maintenance programs and maintenance management systems.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Knowledge of safety standards and practices in a manufacturing environment.
