About the Role

The Assistant Technician is an entry-level technical position within the Aero Engine MRO Division – Engine Operations Department. This role supports engine maintenance activities by assisting qualified Technicians and senior technical staff across various gated processes and engine programs. It involves performing basic, non-critical, and preparatory tasks under close supervision, adhering strictly to approved work instructions, safety standards, and quality procedures.

The position focuses on learning, skill development, and gaining safe exposure to engine maintenance environments, contributing to operational readiness and shop efficiency. Deployment may occur across Gate 0 & 1, Gate 2, Gate 3 & 4, LEAP, or GEnx areas based on training progression, business needs, and authorization level.

Your Responsibilities
  • Engine Maintenance Support (60%):
    Assist Technicians and Senior Technicians in engine maintenance activities such as preparation, cleaning, tool handling, component movement, and basic task execution according to approved instructions and under direct supervision. Support gated engine processes across Gate 0 & 1 (component cleaning, preparation, inspection support), Gate 2 (special process areas), Gate 3 & 4 (assembly and test preparation), and LEAP/GEnx programs.
  • Compliance, Quality, and Safety (20%):
    Follow all aviation safety, quality, and HS&E requirements, use required PPE, comply with shop safety rules, report unsafe conditions or deviations immediately, and support accurate documentation and record-keeping.
  • Learning and Skill Development (10%):
    Participate actively in on-the-job and classroom training, learn basic engine MRO concepts and shop practices, seek guidance to ensure correct task execution, and progress through the training framework.
  • Professional Conduct and Team Support (10%):
    Demonstrate integrity, accountability, teamwork, discipline, punctuality, and respect for instructions. Collaborate effectively with team members and supervisors, and communicate concerns or improvement ideas appropriately.
Who we are looking for

We seek candidates with a high school diploma or equivalent, preferably with vocational or technical training in aviation, aeronautical engineering, MRO, or related technical fields. No prior MRO or aviation experience is required; fresh graduates or those with limited technical exposure are encouraged to apply.

  • Basic understanding of aero engine maintenance concepts and gated processes, with ability to follow instructions under close supervision.
  • Capability to assist in maintenance tasks accurately by following detailed instructions.
  • Foundational awareness of quality standards, aviation safety principles, and HS&E compliance.
  • Attention to detail when handling parts, tools, equipment, and documentation.
  • Basic proficiency in IT systems for task logging and documentation with guidance.
  • Effective communication skills for clear interaction with supervisors and team members.
  • Strong learning orientation, adaptability, and willingness to accept feedback.
  • Professional integrity, honesty, reliability, and discipline in following company policies and ethical standards.
