Junior Roaster

Key Responsibilities

• Operate the BESCA 12 kg drum roaster using approved roast profiles and production instructions
• Execute established roast profiles consistently without unauthorised changes or personal adjustments
• Load green coffee monitor roasting discharge and cool roasted coffee safely
• Support daily production planning and complete scheduled roasting batches on time
• Receive organise label store and handle green coffee and roasted coffee correctly
• Weigh package seal label and prepare retail and wholesale coffee orders
• Prepare orders and shipments accurately according to customer requirements
• Prepare coffee samples for internal evaluation and customer review
• Participate in cupping sessions on a near-daily basis and record basic sensory observations
• Brew and evaluate roasted coffee using espresso and filter methods
• Maintain roast logs production records inventory updates and simple operational reports
• Use Excel Google Sheets email label-printing tools inventory systems and roasting software such as Cropster or Artisan
• Clean and maintain the roaster brewing equipment production area tools and work surfaces according to company procedures
• Support the Head Roaster and the wider Crafters team with other roastery and production duties when required
