Our client, a well-established UK industrial group is opening a new industrial facility in Abu Dhabi by end of 2013. We are looking for production supervisors to ensure that production meets the daily delivery schedules and quality standards with acceptable staffing levels. All produced within the parameters of the PPOH, material usage and Company Policies.
The Production Supervisors will report to production manager and will be in liaison with Transport Manager, Engineering Team, Production Managers, Sales & Service
Key Responsibilities and duties will be as follows:- Behave in accordance with the ‘Dream Way’– this is really a way of behaving, i.e. being open and honest, fair, respectful and clear with communication.
- Manage your team in accordance with the ‘Dream Way’
- Deputise for the Production Manager, when required
- Maintain a positive attitude with a good work ethic, attendance and respectfulness
- Maintain ISO
9002 production procedures, the correction of non-conformity and all other duties outlined in Procedures Manual - Manage and oversee machine repair/PPM (Preventative Planned Maintenance)
- Liaise with Transport Manager to optimise delivery schedules
- Manage Production resources to meet daily Production and Delivery targets through:
- Shift and holiday planning, Staff re-organisation / recruitment
- Proactively assess daily work schedules/requirements, utilising to the full resources available to ensure deliveries are on time, to the desired quality and work is processed efficiently
- Maintain a high personal presence on the shop floor to relieve bottlenecks by:
- re-allocation of staff, personal job involvement
- Ensure that Induction, Job Training, record keeping and appraisals are all carried out
- Assist the Production Manager with the recruitment and selection of all production staff in conjunction with HR Manager
- Conform with Health & Safety Procedures
Those individuals should have experience of managing people in a multicultural production environment for a minimum of 1 year.
Candidates who can identify strengths and weaknesses in a production environment, is highly self-motivated with a drive to succeed.
Outstanding communication and motivational skills are key, as well as being comfortable working shifts in a factory environment.
