- Interpret technical documents, such as diagrams, schematics, blueprints, or other verbal or written instructions.
- Adhere to all quality standards and requirements for products.
- Identify any defective items and handle them according to established EPI procedures.
- Locate parts on assembly tools, mating parts and/or assemblies per drawing or instructions.
- Collect all material and equipment needed to begin the process
- Align material and put together parts to build more complex units
- Select drill bits, reamers and/or countersinking tools for pilot and full-size holes per drawings or instructions.
- Assemble parts by Drill, ream, countersink, Sealing, fastening of parts/assemblies, in proper sequence and to correct size using appropriate tools.
- Apply sealant, Alodine, primer, adhesives, special finishes using the appropriate personal protective equipment.
- Check work after completion of each operation in job and/or completed job to ensure assembly is complete per drawing, that there are no defects (e.g., gapped heads, high rivets, tool marks, incorrect length fasteners), and that area around job is clean, prior to putting up for inspection.
- Install bush and bearings as per specifications and standards (Press fitting using Liquid Nitrogen/HT/Dry Ice Methods)
- Install fluid/hydraulic fittings and connectors.
- Perform Electrical bonding tasks part of assembly activities.
- Championing the organisation values and performance culture at all times to model behaviours to wider team staff;
- Ability to use hand and power tools with precision.
- Working knowledge of product/component acceptance testing and troubleshooting.
- Work well both independently and with others.
