Manufacturing ​/ Production Operator, Machine Operator

Operate machine and equipment according to Standard Operating Procedures, processes and manufacturing plan to safely produce conforming products that meet targeted outputs.

• Operate assigned machinery and equipment safely and efficiently in line with Ducab Standard Operating Procedures, processes, standards and instructions and with lean principles

• Implement all relevant HSE policies, procedures & guidelines
• Participate in Emergency Response duties as a team member, as applicable

• Provide input for the preparation of method statements and initiate any near-miss reports
• Prepare various quality checklists for management to support quality programs
• Implement 5S principles to keep the work environment clean and tidy before, during and after executing the job

• Participate in lean manufacturing initiatives for innovation and continuous improvement

• Set up and run the machine efficiently to specified specifications to produce the required output
• Monitor the machine condition and performance and report to the Supervisor any deviations to achieve required efficiency and output

• Perform quality checks on the product to ensure conformance, raise notifications in SAP and report any deviations to the Supervisor for corrective action
• Carry out routine checks on machine parameters in line with the Ducab check list to detect deviations or abnormalities and inform the Supervisor for prompt corrective action

• Undertake autonomous maintenance of equipment as scheduled by SAP to meet preventive and autonomous maintenance objectives

• Maintain a record of production in the log book and quality records in SAP to allow traceability, investigation of causes, deviations and generate corrective action

• Train new operators and assistants on machine

Scope:The job holder provides tool, die room and machine services in the plant within the UAE and plays a supporting supervisory role

Essential:Secondary School Certificate plus a relevant technical trade certificate (2–3 year degree), OR a minimum of five (5) years of directly relevant experience in the same role.
