Production Engineer- Precast

Responsibilities

Oversee the entire precast concrete production cycle from raw material sourcing to final product dispatch ensuring adherence to strict quality standards Develop and implement optimized production schedules to maximize efficiency minimize waste and meet project deadlines consistently Manage and maintain all precast production equipment including formwork curing chambers and handling machinery ensuring operational readiness and safety Implement and enforce rigorous quality control procedures at every stage of production conducting regular inspections and testing of concrete mixes and finished products Collaborate closely with design and engineering teams to review shop drawings identify potential production challenges and suggest constructible solutions Lead and mentor the production floor team fostering a culture of safety productivity and continuous improvement through effective training and supervision Monitor and control production costs analyzing variances and implementing corrective actions to achieve budgetary targets without compromising quality Ensure compliance with all relevant safety regulations environmental standards and industry best practices within the precast production facility Troubleshoot and resolve any production-related issues or deviations promptly minimizing downtime and impact on project timelines Contribute to process improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities for technological advancements and operational enhancements in precast manufacturing.

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field is essential for a strong technical foundation.
• Proven expertise in precast concrete production processes, including formwork design, concrete mix design, curing techniques, and quality control.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting structural drawings, shop drawings, and technical specifications relevant to precast elements.
• Strong understanding of lean manufacturing principles and their application to optimize production workflows and reduce waste.
• Excellent leadership and team management skills, with a demonstrated ability to motivate and guide a diverse workforce.
• Exceptional problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving production challenges.
• Familiarity with relevant industry standards and codes (e.g., PCI, ACI) pertaining to precast concrete production.
• Proficiency in using production planning software and standard office productivity suites.
• Ability to effectively communicate technical information and collaborate with cross-functional teams, both verbally and in writing.
