Automotive Fabricator​/xFabricator

Overland Auto Works is looking for a skilled and experienced Automotive Fabricator / 4x4 Fabricator to join our workshop team.

The candidate will be responsible for the fabrication, welding, installation, modification, and finishing of automotive and 4x4 accessories and custom vehicle components
.

The ideal candidate should have strong practical workshop experience and be able to understand fabrication drawings, measurements, dimensions, and vehicle-specific requirements.

• Fabricate and install 4x4 and overlanding accessories according to drawings, measurements, and job requirements.

• Perform MIG/TIG/ARC welding as required for different materials and applications.

• Fabricate components using mild steel, stainless steel, aluminum, and other suitable materials
  .

• Carry out cutting, drilling, grinding, bending, fitting, and welding operations.

• Fabricate and install items such as:

  • Roof racks

  • Molle panels

  • Skid plates

  • Bumpers and recovery accessories

  • Sliders and rock rails

  • Mounting brackets

  • Storage systems

  • Camping and overlanding accessories

  • Custom vehicle protection and mounting systems

• Take accurate measurements directly from vehicles and prepare components accordingly.

• Read and understand fabrication drawings, sketches, dimensions, and measurements.

• Ensure proper alignment, fitment, strength, and finishing of fabricated components.

• Modify and adjust fabricated parts when required for proper vehicle fitment.

• Install fabricated products onto different vehicle models.

• Follow workshop safety procedures and maintain proper use of tools and equipment.

• Inspect finished fabrication work for quality, dimensions, welding, alignment, and appearance.

• Coordinate with the Workshop Supervisor, Mechanical Team, QC, and other departments.

• Maintain a clean and organized fabrication work area.

• Properly maintain welding machines, grinders, cutting tools, drilling machines, and other fabrication equipment.

• 2–5 years of practical experience in automotive fabrication, 4x4 fabrication, metal fabrication, or a similar field.

• Strong hands‑on experience with welding and metal fabrication
  .

• Experience working on 4x4 vehicles, off‑road vehicles, or automotive accessories is highly preferred.

• Ability to take accurate measurements and work according to drawings and specifications.

• Good knowledge of welding, cutting, grinding, drilling, fitting, and fabrication techniques.

• Ability to work with different metals and material thicknesses.

• Good understanding of vehicle fitment and mounting requirements.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a workshop team.

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

• UAE/GCC workshop experience is an advantage.

Candidates with practical experience in 4x4 modification, off‑road accessories, overlanding products, automotive fabrication, custom vehicle builds, or workshop fabrication will be preferred.

The candidate should be a hands‑on fabricator who can independently measure, fabricate, weld, modify, and install automotive components with good attention to quality and fitment.
