Operator-Main Pulpit

• To operate the mill equipment’s safely as per standard working procedures.
• Monitor various parameters, graphs and be able to modify the parameters to ensure safe operation.
• Able to identify and understand HMI alarms and detect potential premature failures.
• Continuous monitoring of the mill during production.
• Set rolling mill parameters according to the size rolled and ensure proper adjustment of parameters.
• Maintain good cooperation and communication with other shift operators to achieve common production goals.
• To be familiar with HMI alarms to detect potential premature failure.
• To inform Shift Supervisor of any malfunction that needs immediate attention and action.
• Able to identify malfunctioning of the equipment and give proper feedback to maintenance crew.
• To keep the work area always clean and tidy.
• Follow all management directives, regulations and policies relating to safety, quality, health and environment.
• From the HM1 and mill floor monitor the operation of the mill.
• Any abnormality informs to the concern person/Supervisor.
• Pass the message to CP1 and CP3 to the concerned agency to attend.
• Make the necessary changes in the rolling parameters as per the requirement and inform to the Supervisor.
• Reduce of increase the mill/speed for any Q.C. problems.
• Any emergency case stops the operation.
• Safety of the equipment’s will be the prime responsibility.
• For the size change/pass do the necessary changes in the rolling parameter.
• Able to operate the pendant crane after he attend and passed the Safe Cane Operation Course arranged by ESI Training Department.

Must have 5 year experience in Rolling Mill
