- Operates, monitor and control plant facilities in his are of responsibilities in accordance with supervisory instructions and in conformity to standard operating procedures.
- Carry out First line maintenance and servicing as set by the work system guidelines and instructions .
- Leads firefighting operation in this area until taken over by higher authority.
- Logs operating incident occurring during shift for records and for counterpart on the next shift, and discusses incident with the supervisor.
- Shuts down the plant partially or totally in case of emergency, and starts it up again in accordance with operating instructions form senior opretor.
- carry out weekly test of essential equipment and routine changeover of standby equipment .
- Fully conversant with desalination units start-up troubleshooting , water quality control, chemical dosing and shutdown routines.
