Sofa Upholsterers

We are a furniture manufacturing company in Dubai looking for 3 skilled and experienced Sofa Upholsterers to join our team. Candidates must have practical experience in both furniture reupholstery and upholstery of newly manufactured furniture.

Job Responsibilities:

• Dismantle existing sofas, chairs, beds, and other upholstered furniture, carefully removing old fabric and upholstery.
• Use removed fabric as a template to measure, trace, cut, and prepare new fabric accurately.
• Reupholster existing furniture while maintaining the original design, shape, dimensions, and appearance.
• Perform upholstery work on newly manufactured sofas, beds, chairs, headboards, and other custom furniture.
• Measure and cut upholstery fabric according to furniture dimensions and design requirements.
• Work with foam, padding, fabric, leather, and other upholstery materials.
• Perform stitching, fabric fitting, stapling, trimming, and finishing as required.
• Repair or replace worn-out foam, padding, and upholstery components when necessary.
• Ensure tight, even fabric fitting, neat corners, proper alignment, and high-quality finishing.
• Inspect completed work to ensure it meets company quality standards.
• Maintain upholstery tools, equipment, and a clean, organized workspace.
• Follow supervisor instructions and complete assigned work within production schedules.

Requirements:

• Minimum 2–3 years of UAE experience in sofa or furniture upholstery.
• Strong practical experience in dismantling and reupholstering existing furniture using old fabric as a cutting template.
• Experience upholstering newly manufactured sofas and other furniture.
• Knowledge of upholstery fabrics, leather, foam, padding, stitching, and finishing techniques.
• Ability to work independently and produce high-quality results with minimal supervision.
• Good attention to detail, workmanship, and time management.
• Must currently reside in the UAE.
• Must be available to join immediately or ASAP.
