Job Summary
APCO is seeking a Senior Editorial and Strategic Content Lead to support a high-profile government client in the UAE on an external consultant contract. This senior‑level role will oversee the development of strategic content and executive communications, ensuring high‑quality, consistent, and impactful editorial outputs across key platforms and stakeholder communications.
Responsibilities- Lead the development and delivery of editorial and written communications outputs.
- Oversee speeches, op-eds, talking points, press releases, and executive messaging.
- Develop and maintain strategic messaging frameworks and fact banks.
- Ensure editorial consistency across all client communications and channels.
- Lead the development of long‑form content, success stories, and strategic narratives.
- Coordinate stakeholder messaging and content approvals.
- Support leadership positioning through thought leadership initiatives.
- 10+ years of experience in editorial, content, strategic communications, journalism, or a related field.
- Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling skills.
- Experience developing executive communications and leadership content.
Strong stakeholder management and strategic messaging capabilities. - Government or public sector experience is preferred.
- Full professional fluency in English and Arabic, both written and spoken, is required.
- This role requires the consultant to commute to the client’s office in Abu Dhabi at least 3 days per week.
- Additional presence may be required based on client needs, leadership priorities, campaigns, or key events.
- The consultant must remain flexible and available during major communication periods and priority deliverables.
