PR & Events Consultant (Freelance, Compaign-Based), MENA

Location: Abu Dhabi / Dubai, UAE (remote/hybrid considered)

Insilico Medicine is a clinical-stage, generative AI-driven drug discovery company connecting biology, chemistry, and clinical trials analysis using next-generation AI systems. The company has developed Pharma.

AI, a generative AI platform for drug discovery, which is used to discover novel molecules and targets for a range of diseases, including cancer, fibrosis, immunity, and age-related diseases.

Insilico Medicine is seeking an experienced, proven PR and Events consultant to execute individual PR campaigns across the MENA region on a freelance, per-campaign basis. This is not a retained or full-time role:
Insilico will supply the news, announcements, and source content for each campaign, and the consultant is engaged to plan and run the distribution and media outreach around it. The consultant is expected to place strong emphasis on driving measurable results (media placements, reach, coverage quality) for each campaign, as compensation and distribution spend are tied to campaign outcomes.

• Plan and execute individual PR campaigns based on news, announcements, or content provided by Insilico's Business Development and leadership teams.
• Recommend and manage paid distribution channels/services for each campaign (e.g. wire distribution, targeted media placements), within an agreed budget.
• Build and leverage relationships with regional media outlets, journalists, and industry influencers to maximize campaign pickup and coverage.
• Draft and refine press releases and media pitches for each campaign, ensuring consistency with Insilico's standard language and tone.
• Track and report on campaign results (placements, reach, sentiment, coverage quality) against agreed success metrics.
• Support PR aspects of specific events or media engagements tied to a campaign, as needed.
• Collaborate with internal teams to align on media lists and messaging, including input into AI-assisted pitching tools.
• Support coordination with relevant National and Local regulators on joint PR announcements with government entities, ensuring compliance with regulations and alignment with media guidelines.

• Proven track record in PR and media relations, ideally within the MENA region, with a portfolio of past campaigns and demonstrable results.
• Established relationships with regional media outlets and journalists (tech, healthcare, or biotech media a plus).
• Experience managing paid media distribution and measuring campaign performance/ROI.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Arabic.
• Comfortable working on a per-campaign, results-oriented basis rather than a fixed retainer.
• Familiarity with the biotech, pharma, AI industries or Business Media landscape is highly desirable.
• Contract Type:
  Freelance/consultancy agreement, engaged on a per-campaign basis (not a retainer or full-time employment contract).
• Scope:
  Insilico provides the news/announcement for each campaign; the consultant is responsible for distribution strategy and execution.
• Compensation:
  Base fee per campaign, plus a performance-based fee tied to agreed campaign results (e.g. media placements, reach, coverage quality). Distribution costs are covered separately by Insilico.
• Duration:
  Engagement is renewed campaign by campaign, based on performance and business need.
