Danat Al Emarat is a world-class specialty women’s and children’s hospital in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi. It offers advanced medical services across specialties including Neonatology, Pediatrics, Obstetrics & Gynecology, and Women’s Health. The hospital is one of the very few to encompass a dedicated Fetal Medicine Department along with a full-fledged Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) in the UAE. This has established Danat Al Emarat as a regional referral center for women with high-risk pregnancies, supported by its Level III NICU providing care for the most fragile newborns.
The Registered Nurse for our Postnatal pateints is responsible for delivering high-quality, individualized nursing care to postnatal mothers and newborns in accordance with Department of Health (DOH) standards and hospital policies. Reporting to the Assistant Nurse Manager / Nurse Manager, this role plays a key part in ensuring patient safety, clinical excellence, and exceptional family-centered care.
Responsibilities- Conduct nursing assessments and develop individualized care plans.
- Administer medications and assist in advanced medical procedures.
- Promote patient and family education throughout the care journey.
- Monitor and ensure compliance with hospital policies, clinical guidelines, and regulatory requirements.
- Participate in quality assurance initiatives, audits, and service improvement programs.
- Collaborate with physicians and the multidisciplinary team for effective patient care.
- Maintain accurate documentation and communication to support continuity of care.
- Ensure proper use of clinical equipment and materials.
- Mentor junior staff and support continuous professional development.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing
- Minimum 2 years of postnatal nursing experience
- Valid DOH License or eligibility to obtain one
- Proficiency in electronic medical record (EMR) systems
- Strong clinical judgment, organizational, and communication skills
- Fluency in English (Arabic is an advantage)
- Ability to work effectively with patients from diverse cultural backgrounds
