Principal Accountabilities
- Prepares clinical and progress notes.
- Coordinates services and works as liaison between treating physician and other personnel regarding changes in the client’s condition and family members.
- Counsels the clients and family to meet nursing and related needs.
- Participates in in‑service programs and supervises and teaches other nursing personnel.
- Monitoring and recording vital signs and reporting abnormal values to the treating physicians.
- Administering prescribed medications.
- Monitoring intravenous infusions and parenteral therapies.
- Providing care to clients with tracheostomy, gastrostomy, colostomy, pacemaker, peritoneal dialysis, and ventilator support.
- Delivering nursing care to clients with hemiplegic, paraplegic, Bell’s palsy, cerebral palsy, terminally ill and elderly conditions.
- Caring for newborns and pre‑ and post‑partum mothers.
- Caring for clients with physical challenges and those who need special care at home or their educational facility.
- Delivering simple exercises, helping ambulation, and accompanying clients to social gatherings, hospitals, other treatment facilities and outdoors.
- Managing wound care to prevent exacerbation of pressure ulcers.
- Reporting and recording medical events, procedures and other medical parameters.
- Maintaining records of patient care, condition, progress and problems to report and discuss observations with a supervisor, case manager or medical doctor.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing from an accredited school of nursing in home country.
- Active Basic Life Support training.
- Critical care qualification.
- Pediatric qualification (for pediatrics RN).
- ACLS (for adult patients).
- PALS (for pediatric patients).
- Teaching and assessing experience of 2 to 5 years working as an RN.
- Certification and licensure: current valid registration in country of training and/or country of last employment.
- Eligible for DOH, DHA, MOH licensing.
- Homecare & clinical skills.
- Bedside manner.
- Infection control.
- Nursing skills.
- Physiological knowledge.
- Administering medication.
- Medical teamwork.
- Multi‑tasking.
- Listening and verbal communication.
- Health promotion and maintenance.
- Ability to speak Arabic.
