This role is responsible for providing and maintaining a high standard of individualized nursing care to Day Surgery Unit / Post‑Anesthesia Care Unit patients and their family members according to current best‑evidence based standards, using best judgement at all times in alignment with Department of Health (DOH) and organization policies, procedures, guidelines and standards.

• Patient Admission & Discharge:
  Manage the smooth admission and discharge of patients in the Day Surgery Unit, ensuring all protocols and patient safety standards are met.

• Post‑Anesthesia Recovery:
  Provide expert care to patients recovering from anesthesia in an ambulatory setting, closely monitoring vital signs and responding promptly to any complications.

• Clinical Documentation:
  Maintain accurate and timely documentation using Cerner electronic medical records system, ensuring compliance with hospital policies and regulatory standards.

• Patient Education & Support:
  Educate patients and their families on post‑operative care, discharge instructions, and follow‑up procedures to promote optimal recovery.

• Collaboration & Communication:
  Work collaboratively with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless patient care and coordination.

• Infection Control & Safety:
  Adhere to strict infection control practices and contribute to a safe and sterile environment for both patients and staff.

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing

• Experience: Minimum of 3 years post‑qualification nursing experience. Preferably with experience in Day Surgery Unit

• License and Certification: Valid DOH/DHA/MOH license;
  Valid BLS, PALS and ACLS.
