Responsibilities
- Administer medications and injections accurately, adhering to prescribed dosages and protocols, ensuring patient safety and well‑being.
- Monitor patient vital signs including temperature, blood pressure, pulse, and respiration, promptly reporting any abnormalities to the supervising physician.
- Provide direct patient care including bathing, dressing, feeding, and assisting with mobility, fostering a comfortable and dignified environment.
- Maintain detailed and accurate patient records, documenting observations, treatments, and responses to interventions using electronic health records.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team, including doctors, therapists, and other nurses, to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Educate patients and families on disease management, medication adherence, and preventive health measures, empowering them to take an active role in their care.
- Assist with medical procedures such as wound care, catheter insertions, and phlebotomy, ensuring sterile techniques and patient comfort.
- Respond to emergencies and provide immediate care, including CPR and first aid, demonstrating a calm and decisive approach under pressure.
- Adhere to infection control protocols, maintaining a clean and safe environment for patients and staff, minimizing the risk of healthcare‑associated infections.
- Participate in continuing education and professional development activities, staying abreast of the latest advancements in nursing practice and healthcare technologies.
- Experience in critical care units (ICU, CCU) or emergency departments is highly preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of clinical experience in a hospital or healthcare setting.
- Certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).
- Strong technical skills in medication administration, wound care, and use of medical equipment.
- Empathy, compassion, and a patient‑centered approach to care.
- Excellent physical stamina and ability to work long hours, including shifts and weekends.
