The Registered Nurse - Long-term Care provides continuous, high-quality nursing care to residents with chronic illnesses, disabilities, or age-related conditions. The RN ensures patient safety, comfort, and dignity while promoting quality of life in accordance with clinical standards and regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities- Provide comprehensive nursing care to long-term care residents based on individualized care plans
- Perform health assessments, monitor vital signs, and evaluate changes in residents’ conditions
- Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
- Coordinate and collaborate with physicians, therapists, and multidisciplinary care teams
- Supervise and support Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) and nursing assistants as required
- Educate residents and families on care plans, medications, and health conditions
- Ensure compliance with infection control, safety policies, and regulatory standards
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in patient records
- Respond to medical emergencies and provide appropriate interventions
- Advocate for resident rights, dignity, and person-centered care
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing
- Minimum 2 years of nursing experience required
- Exprience in Medical/Surgical or ICU
- Valid DOH License/Eligibility or DHA License
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
