Psychiatric Nurse; SAKINA
The Mental Health Nurse is responsible for delivering safe, patient-centered, and evidence-based nursing care to patients experiencing mental health disorders, psychiatric illnesses, emotional disturbances, and behavioral challenges. The role involves comprehensive assessment, care planning, therapeutic interventions, medication management, crisis intervention, and multidisciplinary collaboration to support recovery and improve patient outcomes.
The Mental Health Nurse works within inpatient psychiatric units, consultation-liaison psychiatry services, emergency psychiatry, outpatient behavioral health clinics, and specialized mental health programs in accordance with UAE healthcare regulations, hospital policies, and professional nursing standards.

Key Responsibilities- Conduct comprehensive mental health and risk assessments.
- Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans.
- Monitor patients with acute and chronic psychiatric conditions.
- Administer and monitor psychotropic medications.
- Manage psychiatric emergencies.
- Use therapeutic communication and de-escalation techniques.
- Educate patients and families on mental health conditions, treatments, and relapse prevention.
- Collaborate with psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, and allied health professionals.
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and comply with hospital policies and regulatory requirements.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
- Valid DOH/DHA/MOH Nursing License or Eligibility.
- BLS Certification.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in Mental Health/Psychiatric Nursing.
- Tertiary hospital experience preferred.
