  • Coordinate and oversee daily field operations across all apiary locations.
  • Plan seasonal beekeeping activities, including hive inspections, feeding, colony splitting, queen replacement, and honey harvesting.
  • Monitor bee colony health and identify diseases, pests (e.g., Varroa mites), and other risks, implementing appropriate treatment and preventive measures.
  • Ensure proper maintenance of beehives, equipment, and apiary infrastructure.
  • Supervise and provide technical guidance to field beekeepers and apiary assistants.
  • Coordinate the transportation and placement of hives for honey production and crop pollination services.
  • Maintain accurate records of hive inventory, colony performance, honey yields, treatments, and field activities.
  • Monitor environmental conditions affecting bee health and productivity.
  • Ensure compliance with biosecurity, environmental, and occupational health and safety regulations.
  • Coordinate procurement requests for beekeeping equipment, feed, medications, and consumables.
  • Conduct regular field inspections and prepare operational reports for management.
  • Train field personnel on best beekeeping practices, hive management, and safety procedures.
  • Liaise with farmers, landowners, and stakeholders regarding apiary placement and pollination activities.
  • Support research and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and sustainability.
  • Ensure quality standards are maintained for honey harvesting, extraction, storage, and handling.
  • Respond to emergency situations affecting apiaries, including disease outbreaks, adverse weather, or colony losses.
  • Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Agriculture, Apiculture, Animal Science, Environmental Science, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in commercial beekeeping or apiary operations.
  • Strong knowledge of bee biology, colony management, honey production, and pollination practices.
  • Experience supervising field teams is preferred.
  • Familiarity with pest and disease management in apiculture.
  • Valid driving license (preferred for field travel).
