- Monitoring compliance with veterinary standards and regulations related to animal health and welfare, animal treatment procedures, and biosecurity measures at farms, livestock camps, animal housing facilities, and their associated premises.
- Providing first aid to sick and injured animals in emergency situations, treating them, and performing the necessary surgical procedures efficiently.
- Examining animals before slaughter and conducting veterinary and health inspections of products obtained after slaughter.
- Performing post-mortem examinations (necropsies) on deceased animals to determine the causes of death and collect the necessary samples for testing.
- Inspecting animal shelters, barns, and livestock facilities within the assigned areas of the Emirate to ensure the health and safety of animals and compliance with biosecurity measures aimed at preventing the spread of diseases. This also includes monitoring the overall health conditions in animal markets, identifying public health hazards and disease vectors, and taking the appropriate control measures.
- Taking enforcement actions, issuing fines, notices, and warnings against entities that violate health and safety requirements in farms and related facilities, in accordance with the municipality’s approved regulations and bylaws.
