Qualifications

  • Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • NEBOSH International General Certificate (IGC) or equivalent recognized HSE qualification.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of HSE experience in construction, infrastructure, or marine projects.
  • Knowledge of UAE HSE regulations, OSHAD requirements, and AD Ports HSE procedures.
  • Familiar with Risk Assessments (RA), Job Safety Analysis (JSA), Method Statements, Permit to Work (PTW), and incident reporting.
  • Experience conducting site inspections, toolbox talks, HSE inductions, and safety training.
  • Ability to investigate incidents and recommend corrective and preventive actions.
  • Good understanding of environmental protection, waste management, and emergency response procedures.
  • Good communication skills in English (spoken and written);
    Arabic is an advantage.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and HSE reporting.
Preferred Certifications
  • NEBOSH IGC (Mandatory)
  • IOSH Managing Safely or Working Safely
  • First Aid & CPR
  • Working at Height
  • Confined Space Awareness
  • Defensive Driving (preferred)
Key Responsibilities
  • Support the HSE Manager in implementing the Project HSE Plan.
  • Conduct routine site inspections and report unsafe acts and conditions.
  • Deliver HSE inductions, toolbox talks, and safety awareness sessions.
  • Monitor compliance with project HSE requirements, PPE usage, and Permit-to-Work procedures.
  • Assist in preparing Risk Assessments, Method Statements, and JSA reviews.
  • Report and investigate incidents, near misses, and environmental events.
  • Maintain HSE records, inspection reports, training records, and safety statistics.
  • Coordinate emergency drills and support environmental compliance activities.
  • Ensure subcontractors comply with project HSE requirements.
  • Promote a positive safety culture and support the project's Zero Harm objectives.
