Job DescriptionWe are seeking an experienced Advisor Safety, Health & Environment (Site Supervision) to join our team in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing safety, health, and environmental compliance across our operational sites. You will serve as a key authority on safety matters, ensuring all activities align with UAE regulations and international best practices while maintaining a culture of continuous improvement and risk awareness.
- Conduct regular site inspections and audits to identify potential hazards, safety violations, and areas for improvement
- Develop, implement, and monitor safety protocols, procedures, and programs tailored to site-specific operations
- Investigate incidents, accidents, and near-misses; document findings and recommend corrective and preventive actions
- Provide safety training and awareness programs to site personnel at all levels
- Ensure compliance with UAE occupational health and safety regulations, environmental standards, and company policies
- Maintain comprehensive safety documentation, records, and reports for regulatory and internal review purposes
- Collaborate with site management and operational teams to integrate safety into daily work activities
- Analyze safety performance metrics and trends to identify risks and develop targeted improvement initiatives
- Conduct hazard assessments and risk evaluations for new projects, processes, or equipment
- Serve as the primary point of contact for safety-related concerns and elevate critical issues to senior management
- Coordinate with external stakeholders, including regulatory authorities and safety consultants, as needed
- Monitor and ensure proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and safety equipment on site
- Minimum 7 years of professional experience in safety, health, and environment roles with site supervision responsibilities
- Proven experience conducting safety inspections, audits, and incident investigations in construction, industrial, or similar operational environments
- Strong knowledge of UAE and GCC occupational health and safety regulations and standards
- Proficiency in analyzing safety data, identifying trends, and developing evidence-based improvement strategies
- Excellent communication and training skills with the ability to engage personnel at all organizational levels
- Demonstrated ability to organize and maintain detailed safety documentation and compliance records
- Experience with safety management systems and best practices
- Strong decision-making capabilities in high-pressure situations involving safety concerns
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and safety management software
- Preferred:
Certification in occupational health and safety (such as NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalent) - Preferred:
Familiarity with ISO 45001 or similar international safety management standards - Preferred:
Experience with environmental compliance and sustainability initiatives - Ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment and adapt to site-based operations
