Job SummaryThe HSE Officer is responsible for implementing and monitoring health, safety, and environmental policies on site, ensuring full compliance with project, client, and UAE regulatory requirements.
Core Responsibilities- Implement and monitor HSE policies, procedures, and project-specific HSE plans.
- Conduct risk assessments, toolbox talks, and routine safety audits on site.
- Investigate incidents and near-misses; prepare reports with corrective and preventive actions.
- Ensure Permit-to-Work (PTW) system compliance, particularly for high-risk activities.
- Deliver HSE training, inductions, and awareness programs to site personnel.
- Liaise with client/consultant HSE representatives and support site audits and inspections.
- Maintain accurate HSE documentation, registers, and statistical reporting.
- Support emergency preparedness planning and drills.

HSE Officer — TunnelsIndustry Context:
Underground tunneling and subsurface infrastructure projects, including TBM-driven and cut-and-cover works.
- Underground/confined space safety, continuous gas monitoring, and ventilation management.
- Tunnel Boring Machine (TBM) operational safety and ground stability/collapse risk control.
- Emergency evacuation and underground rescue planning specific to tunnel environments.
