About the job Senior Technician Engine Inspection (MRO)
We are seeking a skilled Senior Technician with strong engine inspection and mechanical experience to support aero engine MRO activities in a regulated maintenance environment. The role involves carrying out inspection, disassembly, assembly, and documentation tasks in line with approved technical data, regulatory expectations, and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform engine disassembly, assembly, and inspection activities according to approved technical documentation
- Follow work instructions, route cards, and engineering drawings; escalate discrepancies when identified
- Complete assigned tasks aligned with production schedules and quality requirements
- Demonstrate integrity, professionalism, and safe working practices at all times
- Participate in team briefings, toolbox talks, and safety discussions
- Report non-conformances or unsafe practices promptly
- Provide basic guidance to junior technicians under supervision
- Ensure tools and equipment are used correctly; identify shortages or malfunctions
- Support workplace organisation and housekeeping standards
- Ensure tasks are completed within expected timelines and quality requirements
- Maintain accurate records in digital systems such as SAP or Q-Pulse
- Support compliance with quality management systems and participate in audits or investigations when required
- Associate, vocational, or technical qualification in Aviation, Aeronautical Engineering, MRO, or a related field
- D2 level authorisation or equivalent certification
- Minimum of 3 years experience in technical aviation or MRO
- Strong understanding of aero engine visual and dimensional inspection methods
- Proficiency using digital systems (e.g., SAP, Q-Pulse) for inspection data entry and traceability
- Strong adherence to quality, regulatory, and HS&E requirements
- Effective communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to support juniors by reinforcing standard procedures
- Consistent application of documentation and inspection protocols
- Ability to recognise defects, deviations, and irregularities and escalate appropriately
- Strong time management and ability to work within turnaround timelines
- Ability to adapt to schedule changes, new procedures, and work conditions
- High attention to detail and accuracy to ensure airworthiness and compliance
