Quality Control Inspector – Piping & Welding
Employment Type: Full-Time
We are seeking an experienced Quality Control Inspector – Piping & Welding to join our EPC team in Abu Dhabi. The ideal candidate must have extensive experience in Oil & Gas EPC projects, with a strong understanding of ADNOC specifications, international codes and standards, and quality inspection requirements related to piping fabrication, welding, installation, and testing.
Key Responsibilities- Perform quality inspections for piping fabrication, welding, erection, installation, and hydrotesting activities in accordance with ADNOC requirements and project specifications.
- Ensure compliance with ADNOC standards, client specifications, approved Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), and Quality Control Procedures.
- Conduct visual inspections of piping welds, fit-up, joint preparation, dimensional checks, and final acceptance inspections.
- Verify welding activities are performed in accordance with approved WPS, PQR, and qualified WQT/WPQ requirements.
- Coordinate and witness NDT activities including RT, UT, MT, PT, PMI, Hardness Testing, and Ferrite Testing.
- Review and verify welding consumables, material traceability, heat numbers, and Material Test Certificates (MTCs).
- Ensure compliance with ASME, API, AWS, ISO, and ADNOC quality standards.
- Prepare and maintain inspection records, NCRs, punch lists, inspection reports, and quality documentation.
- Coordinate with Engineering, Construction, QA/QC, Clients, and Third-Party Inspection Agencies during inspections.
- Monitor subcontractor quality performance and ensure corrective and preventive actions are implemented.
- Participate in internal audits, client audits, and quality surveillance activities.
- Ensure all activities are carried out in compliance with HSE requirements and company Quality Management Systems.
- Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
- Minimum 8–12 years of QA/QC inspection experience in Oil & Gas EPC projects.
- Strong experience in Piping and Welding Inspection on ADNOC or major Middle East Oil & Gas projects.
- Sound knowledge of piping fabrication, welding processes, pressure testing, and inspection methodologies.
- Familiarity with ADNOC Standards, International Codes, and Project Specifications.
- Excellent communication, reporting, and coordination skills.
- CSWIP 3.1 Welding Inspector (Mandatory/Preferred)
- BGAS-CSWIP Painting Inspector (Preferred)
- NACE Coating Inspector (Preferred)
- ISO 9001 Internal Auditor
- AWS Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) – Preferred
