Responsibilities
- Implement the QA/QC management system at site.
- Coordinate the quality inspections with all the site subcontractors and vendors and coordinate all testing on site.
- Coordinate with the client representative on all quality matters.
- Distribute relevant QA/QC documentation to site subcontractors.
- Verify that the quality related site activities are in accordance with the applicable codes and standards.
- Participate in the site internal and external site audits.
- Ensure all quality control documentation is compliant and completed for as-built drawings.
- Control all nonconformance reports and undertake remedial action.
- Review the client specifications.
- Monitor the implementation of the approved site QC Plan.
- Complete and coordinate the approval of the sites QC technical submittals to the client.
- Coordinate with the site construction manager on all quality issues and lead the QA/QC site weekly meetings with the project’s subcontractors.
- Oversee the inspection and test programs.
- Ensure safety is adhered to at the site.
- Assure all technical documents relative to site quality control are up-to-date.
- Control and distribute all the company’s quality documentation and monitor all issued nonconformance reports.
- Monitor the progress and effectiveness of the project quality management system.
- Recommend and implement improvements when required.
- At least 5 years of related experience, with exposure to coastal, marine, geotechnical, and structural engineering, and construction projects; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in civil, coastal, structural or geotechnical engineering, or a related field of study.
- Advanced degree in civil, coastal, structural or geotechnical engineering, or a related field of study (desirable).
- Experience managing a quality assurance and control program at a construction site.
- Experience as an auditor (ISO
9001:2015). - Strong oral and technical writing skills.
- Experience with international design standards including Eurocode and British Standards as well as industry practice and local regulations.
