Type: 6 Months Contract (Extendable)
PurposeWe're building an asset-centric engineering document library on SharePoint/EDMS. You'll drive the quality assurance/quality control of file structures, metadata, and naming conventions, ensuring documents are accurately linked to assets (not just projects) and that Excel-based trackers remain reliable and audit-ready.
Responsibilities- Build and maintain asset-centric folder structures and document indexes.
- Apply file-naming conventions and complete metadata fields consistently.
- Clean, validate, and reconcile datasets in Excel (Power Query, Pivot Tables, XLOOKUP).
- Cross-check drawings/specs/reports to confirm document type, revision, date, and applicability.
- Run QC spot-checks, fix issues, and track progress in dashboards/logs.
- Identify missing/duplicate/obsolete documents and maintain a gap log.
- Prepare periodic progress reports for internal stakeholders.
- Handle sensitive data with strict confidentiality and follow internal SOPs.
- Bachelors/Diploma in Electrical/Mechanical/Civil/Industrial Engineering (or similar)
- OR strong engineering document control experience.
- 2+ years in engineering document control, or data QA/QC.
- Advanced Excel: data cleaning, Power Query, Pivot Tables, data validation, conditional formatting, XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP.
- Meticulous attention to detail; comfortable working through large volumes of files.
- Familiarity with engineering documentation (drawings, O&M manuals, test reports, method statements, etc.).
- Experience with CDE/EDMS or DMS tools (e.g., SharePoint or similar).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and clear record-keeping.
- Scripting/automation for bulk ops (VBA or Python) knowledge is a plus.
- Knowledge of Power BI (basic) for simple status views is a plus.
