Welding ​/ Mechanical QC Inspector

Qualifications and Standards

• Fully conversant with applicable international industrial standards project specifications and welding inspection procedures
• Possess thorough working knowledge and proven practical ability in codes including ANSI B31 3 ANSI B31 4 ANSI B31 8 ASME Section V ASME Section IX API 620 API 650 and AWS D1 1
• Competent to review audit and oversee NDT programmes execution and results for VT MT PT RT and UT
• Minimum 10 years of relevant industrial inspection experience.
• At least 6 years of specialized experience in welding/mechanical inspection discipline, among which minimum 4 years shall be in oil, gas or petrochemical industry.
• High school graduate or equivalent educational background.
• Capable of performing complex welding and mechanical inspection duties independently with minimum supervision.
• AWS CWI; ORCSWIP Certified Welding Inspector; OR Equivalent certification approved by COMPANY.
• Where responsible for NDT review/audit, minimum ASNT Level II certification for relevant NDT method(s) shall be required.
• When performing, reviewing or auditing VT, MT, PT, RT or UT, valid certification for each specific NDT method is mandatory.
• When performing radiographic testing film interpretation, valid RT certification shall be held.
