Position: Piping Inspector (GRE/GRP)

We are looking for an experienced TPI Piping Inspector GRE GRP HDPE to perform vendor source inspections of GRE GRP and HDPE piping systems fittings components and related manufacturing activities The successful candidate will be responsible for verifying that materials manufacturing processes workmanship testing and documentation comply with approved project specifications drawings Inspection Test Plans ITPs applicable international standards and client requirements The role requires strong practical knowledge of GRE GRP piping systems HDPE piping joining lamination processes inspection methods testing and vendor quality documentation

Key Responsibilities

  • strong Review and verify vendor manufacturing activities against approved strong ITPs Quality Plans procedures drawings and project specifications strong Verify strong material identification traceability dimensions wall thickness appearance and workmanship
  • strong Inspect GRE GRP strong lamination bonding adhesive joints butt joints flange joints and other joining methods strong as applicable Inspect HDPE strong butt fusion electrofusion joint preparation alignment heating parameters fusion bead formation and workmanship
  • strong Witness and verify strong hydrostatic pressure leak and other specified tests strong in accordance with approved procedures Perform strong visual and dimensional inspections strong and verify compliance with approved drawings and specifications Review manufacturers strong Material Test Certificates MTCs certificates of conformity test reports calibration certificates batch lot records and quality documentation
  • strong Verify that inspection and testing activities are performed in accordance with the approved strong ITP and applicable inspection hold witness points strong Review manufacturing and inspection records and ensure proper strong material and product traceability strong Identify and report strong non-conformities defects deviations and quality issues
  • strong Verify implementation and close-out of strong corrective and preventive actions strong before final acceptance Prepare clear and accurate strong Inspection Reports Release Notes NCR observations punch lists and other required TPI documentation
  • strong Coordinate with strong clients EPC contractors vendors manufacturers and project teams strong during inspection activities Attend strong pre-inspection meetings kick-off meetings technical discussions and final inspection activities strong when required Ensure all inspection activities are conducted in accordance with strong client requirements project specifications approved procedures and applicable codes and standards strong Provide timely feedback to the TPI coordination project team regarding inspection status findings and pending actions
Qualifications
  • Candidates should have good working knowledge of applicable standards and specifications related to strong GRE GRP and HDPE piping systems strong including where applicable strong ISO 14692 Petroleum and natural gas industries GRP piping strong strong ISO 4427 PE piping systems for water supply and related applications strong strong ASTM ASME API standards strong applicable to the project

    Project-specific strong GRE GRP and HDPE specifications strong Approved strong ITPs Quality Plans welding fusion procedures lamination procedures and inspection procedures strong Hydrostatic and pressure testing requirements

    Dimensional and visual inspection requirements

    Material identification and traceability requirements

    Vendor manufacturing and quality-control procedures
  • Diploma / Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Piping Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 5–8 years of relevant inspection experience in the Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Refinery, or EPC industry.
  • Strong experience in GRE/GRP piping inspection is mandatory.
  • Experience in HDPE piping inspection and fusion/jointing activities is highly preferred.
  • Previous experience in Third-Party Inspection (TPI), Vendor Inspection, Source Inspection, or Expediting/QA-QC inspection is preferred.
  • Experience with vendor/manufacturer inspections and review of manufacturing quality documentation.
  • Experience working on Oil & Gas projects in the UAE/GCC is highly preferred.
  • ADNOC/project experience will be an advantage.
