We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented QHSE Officer to support the implementation and maintenance of the organization’s QHSE system. The role focuses on ensuring day-to-day compliance with applicable regulations, company policies and industry standards while promoting a strong safety culture across all operations.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:Registration and Certification:
- Apply for, obtain, and maintain third-party certifications (e.g., ISO standards).
- Support audits (internal & external) and ensure compliance with QHSE requirements.
- Maintain records related to certifications and compliance documentation.
- Prepare and review Job Safety Analysis (JSA) and Method Statements (MS) in coordination with operations teams.
- Conduct daily toolbox talks for operators at the yard and site to ensure awareness of safety protocols and procedures.
- Monitor daily HSE compliance at yard and project sites.
- Report and document near misses, incidents, and accidents accurately and promptly.
- Assist in incident investigations and follow up on corrective actions.
- Ensure all safety-related permits and documentation are properly maintained.
- Support the implementation of QHSE policies, procedures and work instructions.
- Assist in updating documents to align with regulatory and organizational requirements.
- Identify workplace hazards and participate in risk assessments.
- Support the implementation of control measures to minimize risks.
- Conduct routine safety inspections and audits.
Education:
- Deliver QHSE induction and awareness training to employees.
- Assist in organizing training sessions related to safety, quality, and environmental practices.
- Promote safe work practices among employees and contractors.
- Track and record QHSE performance data (incidents, near misses, inspections, etc.).
- Prepare regular reports for internal review.
- Ensure operations comply with local health, safety, environmental, and quality regulations.
- Stay updated with relevant legal and industry requirements.
- Support the implementation of emergency response plans.
- Participate in conducting emergency drills and ensure readiness at sites.
- Assist in identifying areas for QHSE improvement.
- Follow up on corrective and preventive actions.
- Monitor contractor compliance with QHSE standards on-site.
- Report non-conformities and support corrective actions.
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health & Safety, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 to 6 years of relevant experience in QSHE and Administrative works.
- Experience in Crane Industry and ADNOC project is an advantage.
- Proficient in MS Office Suite.
- Strong knowledge of safety regulations and standards.
- In-depth knowledge of Safety Management Systems.
- ISO Lead Auditor certification and First Aid certified.
