We are seeking an experienced Process Piping Inspector to oversee inspection and quality control activities for process piping fabrication, installation, testing, and commissioning. The ideal candidate will ensure piping works comply with approved drawings, project specifications, applicable codes, and quality standards.
Roles & Responsibilities- Conduct inspections of process piping fabrication, erection, installation, and testing activities.
- Inspect pipe fit-up, alignment, welding, supports, valves, flanges, gaskets, and piping components.
- Verify compliance with approved P&IDs, isometric drawings, specifications, WPS/PQR, and ITPs.
- Review material certificates, heat numbers, weld maps, welding records, and traceability documentation.
- Witness hydrostatic/pneumatic testing, flushing, pressure testing, reinstatement, and other required inspection activities.
- Coordinate with Welding Inspectors, NDT personnel, QA/QC engineers, contractors, and client representatives.
- Identify piping defects, deviations, and non-conformities and monitor corrective actions.
- Prepare inspection reports, punch lists, test records, and quality documentation.
- Support pre-commissioning, commissioning, mechanical completion, and project handover activities.
- Ensure compliance with project quality procedures and HSE requirements.
- Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a relevant technical discipline.
- Relevant experience in process piping inspection within Oil & Gas, petrochemical, refinery, or industrial projects.
- Strong knowledge of piping fabrication, erection, welding, testing, and installation practices.
- Ability to interpret P&IDs, piping isometrics, GA drawings, spool drawings, and piping specifications.
- Knowledge of applicable codes and standards such as ASME B31.3, ASME Section IX, API, ASTM, and project specifications.
- Experience with QA/QC procedures, ITPs, material traceability, NDT coordination, and NCR management.
- Good English communication, technical reporting, and coordination skills.
