Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced E&I (Electrical & Instrumentation) Inspector to oversee inspection and quality control activities for electrical and instrumentation installations. The ideal candidate will ensure field installation, testing, and commissioning activities comply with approved drawings, project specifications, applicable standards, and quality requirements.
Roles & Responsibilities- Conduct inspections of electrical and instrumentation installation activities as per approved drawings, specifications, and ITPs.
- Inspect electrical equipment, cable trays, conduits, cables, panels, switch gear, grounding, and associated installations.
- Inspect instrumentation systems including field instruments, junction boxes, tubing, cable routing, terminations, and control panels.
- Witness electrical and instrumentation testing, calibration, continuity checks, insulation resistance tests, loop checks, and functional testing.
- Review material certificates, inspection records, test reports, and relevant technical documentation.
- Identify defects, deviations, and non-conformities and monitor corrective actions.
- Coordinate with QA/QC engineers, contractors, commissioning teams, and client representatives.
- Prepare inspection reports, checklists, punch lists, and maintain quality records.
- Support pre-commissioning, commissioning, mechanical completion, and project handover activities.
- Ensure compliance with project quality procedures and HSE requirements.
- Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Relevant experience in E&I inspection within Oil & Gas, petrochemical, industrial, or major construction projects.
- Strong knowledge of electrical and instrumentation installation, inspection, testing, and commissioning.
- Ability to read and interpret SLDs, wiring diagrams, loop diagrams, P&IDs, cable schedules, and instrumentation drawings.
- Knowledge of applicable IEC, NEC, IEEE, ISA, NFPA, and project-specific standards.
- Experience with QA/QC procedures, ITPs, NCR management, and inspection documentation.
- Good English communication, technical reporting, and coordination skills.
