Position SummaryThe HSE Officer is responsible for supporting the implementation of the company s Health Safety and Environmental Management System The role assists in ensuring a safe workplace promoting compliance with applicable UAE regulations and company procedures conducting inspections and supporting HSE awareness initiatives
Responsibilities- Conduct routine workplace safety inspections and report unsafe conditions and unsafe acts.
- Monitor compliance with the Abu Dhabi Occupational Health and Safety System Framework, company HSE policies, procedures, and Permit to Work requirements.
- Assist in hazard identification and risk assessments.
- Participate in incident investigations and help implement corrective actions.
- Maintain HSE records, inspection reports, and documentation.
- Conduct toolbox talks and safety inductions for employees and contractors.
- Monitor the use of Personal Protective Equipment and ensure compliance.
- Support emergency preparedness activities, including drills and equipment inspections.
- Assist in environmental monitoring, waste management, and housekeeping inspections.
- Monitor contractor safety performance during maintenance and project activities.
- Report HSE observations, near misses, and unsafe conditions promptly.
- Participate in internal HSE audits and compliance inspections.
- Support safety campaigns, awareness programs, and employee engagement initiatives.
- Ensure fire extinguishers, first aid kits, and emergency equipment are inspected and maintained.
- Maintain the Integrated Hazardous Materials Management System.
- Perform any other HSE related duties assigned by the HSE Manager or Supervisor.
- Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Engineering, Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field.
- NEBOSH International General Certificate.
- Basic knowledge of Abu Dhabi Occupational Health and Safety System Framework, ISO 45001, and ISO 14001 is an advantage.
- Three to five years of HSE experience in manufacturing, oil and gas, or industrial environments.
