ABOUT THE ROLEThe Programme Quality Engineer II (PQE II) in HALCON is responsible for planning, coordinating, and assuring quality activities throughout the Programme lifecycle, ensuring that products, processes, and activities comply with applicable standards, customer, contractual, regulatory, and company requirements.
Acting as the designated quality focal point for the assigned Programme or scope, the PQE II provides independent quality oversight, supports Programme governance and decision-making, manages and communicates quality risks and non-conformances, promotes continual improvement, and coordinates quality activities across Programme Management, Engineering, Design for Advanced Manufacturing (DFAM), Manufacturing, Configuration Management, other Quality functions, and relevant interfacing functions.
The PQE II ensures that quality requirements are effectively embedded and verified across design, development, verification, validation, qualification, production, and acceptance activities, supporting the timely delivery of conforming products.
RESPONSIBILITIESLead Quality Assurance across the programme lifecycle, ensuring compliance with customer, regulatory, contractual, and company requirements from design through production and delivery.
Develop, implement, and maintain the Quality Assurance Plan (QAP) and Quality Control Plans (QCPs), ensuring effective deployment of quality controls, inspections, verification, and surveillance activities.
Provide independent quality oversight and governance, participating in programme reviews, stage gate reviews, and management reviews, and reporting quality status, risks, and recommendations.
Review and approve programme deliverables, technical documentation, and data packages to ensure compliance with applicable quality, engineering, and contractual requirements.
Manage quality activities across design, development, integration, verification, validation, qualification, testing, and production readiness, ensuring adherence to approved processes and standards.
Oversee testing and product release readiness, verifying configuration control, traceability, equipment calibration, test readiness, safety compliance, and conformance to approved procedures.
Lead non-conformance, deviation, and concession management, including root cause analysis, corrective and preventive actions (CAPA), risk assessment, stakeholder communication, and timely closure through appropriate governance boards.
Collaborate with Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, Programme teams, suppliers, and customers to ensure alignment on quality requirements and effective resolution of quality-related issues.
Plan, support, and monitor audits, assessments, configuration reviews, and customer acceptance activities, ensuring actions, findings, and compliance obligations are effectively addressed and closed.
Drive continuous improvement and quality culture, using metrics, trend analysis, lessons learned, and mentoring of junior quality engineers to enhance product quality, programme performance, and organizational capability.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS- Degree in Aerospace, Aeronautics, Systems, Electrical, Electronics & Mechatronics Engineering
- 8 - 10 years of Quality Assurance experience in the aerospace, defence, aviation, or high-precision manufacturing industry
