Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced QC Inspector – Piping to carry out quality inspections of piping fabrication and installation activities. The successful candidate will ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, inspection and test plans, applicable codes, and client requirements throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform inspection of piping fabrication and installation activities in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, ITPs, procedures, and project requirements.
  • Verify piping materials, fittings, flanges, valves, and other components against approved specifications and material requirements.
  • Check dimensional accuracy, alignment, orientation, fit-up, and installation of piping systems.
  • Conduct inspection of pipe fit-up, joint preparation, welding activities, and completed piping assemblies.
  • Verify compliance with approved WPS/PQR and ensure welding activities are performed by qualified welders.
  • Review piping isometric drawings, GA drawings, specifications, and relevant engineering documents before inspection activities.
  • Coordinate and witness inspections, tests, and examinations with QA/QC, Engineering, Production, and client representatives.
  • Ensure inspection activities are carried out in accordance with approved ITPs and QCPs
    .
  • Monitor and verify NDT activities and review relevant inspection reports and results.
  • Identify quality deviations and nonconformities and support the issuance, follow-up, and closure of NCRs
    .
  • Verify hydrostatic testing, pressure testing, flushing, and other piping-related testing activities as applicable.
  • Maintain inspection records, checklists, reports, and quality documentation.
  • Ensure proper material traceability throughout the fabrication and installation process.
  • Support preparation of final quality dossiers and project handover documentation.
  • Coordinate with relevant departments to resolve quality issues and ensure timely corrective actions.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable project specifications, industry codes, standards, and client requirements.
  • Promote adherence to company QHSE policies and maintain a strong quality culture at the workplace.
  • Perform additional duties assigned by the QA/QC Manager or Project Management.
Qualifications & Experience

Education:

Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.

Technical

Qualification:

Relevant QC/Inspection certification. CSWIP 3.1 / AWS / ASNT or equivalent certifications are an advantage.

Experience:

Minimum 5 years of relevant experience as a QC Inspector – Piping in Oil & Gas, EPC, fabrication, offshore, or marine projects.

Skills:

Strong knowledge of piping fabrication and installation inspection, welding inspection, dimensional inspection, material traceability, NCR management, and quality documentation.

Software:
Proficient in MS Office. Knowledge of AutoCAD and relevant inspection/document management systems is an advantage.

Knowledge:
Good understanding of piping fabrication, welding, NDT, hydrotesting, inspection procedures, ITPs, QCPs, and applicable industry codes and standards.
